Client: W&H

Location: Northern Quarter, Harrington Street, Tauranga

Date Completed: Completed 2025

Located in the heart of Tauranga’s CBD, the Northern Quarter development is one of the city’s standout commercial projects, helping reshape the inner city landscape with a large scale mixed use development including retail, office, hospitality, and hotel spaces.

BUCO was engaged by W&H to deliver major carpentry and construction packages across the project. Our involvement spanned multiple stages of the build, including structural foundations and footings, framing, flooring systems, Nu-Wall cladding installation, external façades, roofing support works, window installations, internal fit outs, linings, and finishing carpentry.

Working across a five level live commercial construction environment required strong planning, coordination, and adaptability. Tight site access, high pedestrian traffic, overlapping trades, and demanding programme requirements meant communication and site management were critical throughout every stage of delivery.

With a large commercial workforce and experienced on site leadership team, BUCO was able to maintain programme momentum while delivering high quality workmanship across both structural and architectural elements of the project.

The Northern Quarter project highlights BUCO’s capability to successfully deliver large scale commercial construction packages within complex city centre environments, reinforcing our experience across commercial developments, façades, fit outs, and high performance building systems throughout the Bay of Plenty.
