Panorama Towers is one of Tauranga’s most recognisable buildings, and its carpark is a critical piece of infrastructure supporting the wider complex. BUCO has been deeply involved in the long-term remediation and strengthening works of this structure since 2024, a project that carries both technical significance and personal meaning.

Our scope has included extensive structural remediation works, with BUCO responsible for placing vertical concrete on the project, a major technical and logistical achievement. To date, our team has poured over 80 structural columns, more than 60 in-situ concrete beams, and completed wall pours totalling over 700m³ of concrete.

The success of Panorama Towers is also a testament to the strength of the wider project team. The coordination and management provided by W&H, alongside the commitment of the various specialist subcontractors on site, has been a clear example of construction culture done right. Strong leadership, clear planning, and open communication have allowed all trades to work collaboratively, adapt to challenges, and maintain momentum on a complex, long-running project.

Delivered floor by floor within a live CBD environment, the works have required high-tolerance formwork, careful sequencing, and absolute trust between all parties involved. The way the team has worked together - planners, engineers, subcontractors, and site crews, has been critical in safely delivering large-scale pours while keeping the programme moving forward.

As the project approaches completion of the upper courses and transitions into base build and finishing works, Panorama Towers stands as a standout example of what can be achieved when experienced teams align around a shared goal.
